The final event of our year was held at a superbly presented West Hove GC, followed by fine dinner enjoyed by all.

Our very first Ladies Day....a new event for BDGS, was held at Dyke GC on Sunday September 3rd in glorious sunshine., Thanks go to Ian Richmond our President for donating a cup and salver.
The 4 clubs each sent 5 players who played for best nett, best scratch, and also team event (best 4 from 5) stableford .Afterwards all enjoyed tea and cakes...

This event between the 4 local clubs has been held every year since 1926
(except war years)....quite some record!.
Held again this year on July 16th at Brighton and Hove Golf Club in ferocious winds...
The WENTWORTH SMITH TROPHY was won by Dave Slocombe of East Brighton with 35 points.
SCRATCH CUP went to Neil Mason of the home club with a terrific score of 71
TEAM SHIELD (best 5 scores) was won by Brighton and Hove with 159 on count back from East Brighton.

Morning results:- East Btn beat Dyke.......and...West Hove beat B&H
After lunch, The Mixed Plate went to Dyke GC defeating B&H.
For the MIXED CUP..a close finish saw East Brighton defeat West Hove 3-2
HAT TRICK FOR EAST BRIGHTON GC
Held at Dyke GC in glorious sunshine on Sunday June 4th.
Semi final results:- Dyke beat West Hove in match 1 and East Brighton defeated Brighton and Hove in match 2.
Afternoon PLATE match was close, all down to last match with Gary Chamberlain and Adrian Hansell winning 1up to give WEST HOVE victory.
TROPHY MATCH:- EAST BRIGHTON beat Dyke 3.5-1.5 to give them a hat trick of victories in the BDGS Junior Cup. Well done to them.

West Hove were hosts for this event, and even if it was holiday weekend, the rain stayed away.
Morning results:- 1) West Hove beat Brighton and Hove....2) Dyke beat East Brighton
The afternoon final (West Hove v Dyke GC) match provided a nail biter of a finish with DGC last pair needing to win to secure the cup. Well done to Andy Grace and 'Bones' Phillips! DGC won 3-2.
The Intermediate Plate was won by East Brighton.
